I am not a fan of the wild. Those that know me know that. I am not a fan of coyotes, foxes, bears, lions, cougars or anything else you might happen upon in the Utah mountains, deserts, or in this case, canyons.
I took a lovely walk in Memory Grove this afternoon. It's a nice walk. It's a pleasant September day. I don't like being startled by the unexpected. I suppose the snake had a right to be there as much as I did but you think he could have had a warning beacon or siren or something to alert unsuspecting canyon sharers such as myself. Large, slithering, meandering snakes sort of mess up the intended tranquility of the walk a bit.
