She graciously opened her home to us
and we had a wonderful time.
Everyone was supposed to bring three dozen cookies...
and the idea was that at the end of the evening
you filled a plate of different kinds to bring home.
A great idea.
We all enjoyed each other.
Women love to get together under any circumstances.
My good friend
and other neighbor Karen was there.
The home we were at was really beautiful.
There were many cute holiday decorations.
The collection of nutcracker dolls was great.
I especially loved these missionary ones!!!!
Perhaps more than anything, I was touched by this cross-stitch this woman did when she was a young girl. She set a specific goal as a girl to bring gospel light in to her "someday" home and it is clear that she has achieved that. We were fortunate and blessed to enjoy her hospitality last evening and partake of the blessings of the evidence of her goal.
I have been having a hard time feeling Christmas-y this year and these pictures helped. What a warm, welcoming home and a really fun relief society night idea!
