Guess Who's Coming To Dinner?

Every October our ward has a fun, albeit a little strange, ward activity. It's called "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?" A few weeks before the dinner, people sign up to be a host or a guest. Usually there are about 8-10 people per home. The host supplies the main course and the guests are assigned the rest of the courses. Tonight we went to Lucy's house. She is 91 years old. She was a very gracious hostess. We had meatloaf, spinach salad, cooked carrots, roasted vegetables, baked potatoes, rolls, and key lime pie and/or pumpkin pie for desert. The food was great. The guests were Jim and me, a brand new married  31 year old couple, an 81 year old and his 70 something wife, the hostess and her 60ish son and his wife. The two hours at dinner went by quickly. The conversation was delightful and the food excellent. Every year it's a surprise to where you are going and who the guests will be but it's one of the best loved activities in our ward.
