Thy Word Is A Lamp

I quite like the way this turned out. This is a picture I took of an incredible sunset we had one evening. I took it from my deck. I doctored it up a bit, not too much, and I love the color play. I've always liked this scripture too. It's one of my favorites. I found it during my scripture reading many years ago, and and it describes how I feel about them. I'm going to have to get a better camera and some better software if I am going to develop a hobby of mixing two of my favorite things: photography and the scriptures. :)

I've been very busy lately, and I've not been much of a good blogger. I've pretty much finished my third book which has been taking up a lot of my time. I've begun the revision phase, and I've found a new editor. I really like the way it's turning out. I guess writing has been something I really didn't know I would enjoy that much, but it's become very much a part of me now.

The weather has been beautiful this week. This is my favorite time of the year, and I'm feeling so good these days that I get to enjoy it. Having my hip replaced was the best thing I could have ever done. I feel strong again, and I am enjoying my walks again. I'm very grateful. I don't look forward to the dark days of winter again, but this year I have a different plan to get through them. I think it will be OK.

Hannah and Nathan were here this morning. It is not possible to put into words the joy of being a grandmother. There just aren't enough words to describe it. Pictures will have to do.
Nathan started preschool this week. Elisa (aka Lala) was here this morning and drew this for him.
Hannah just keeps getting sweeter and cuter. Her hair is turning more and more blonde too.

Seth sounds a little down this week. My heart goes out to him. Trying to do good and getting rejected at almost every turn would be hard on anyone, but he's hanging in there.

  1. Thanks for giving me a little Grandma fix today! Sarah hasn't posted any photos on Instagram the last few days. So I was looking for some photos I haven't seen! My, we have cute grandkids! :) The other recent landscape photos you posted are incredibly beautiful! And I admire your regular commitment to family history. I need to do the same!

  2. Connie, try my Instagram account too. I try and post photos there when I can. You will see them at Thanksgiving!!! Yeah!!!
